Skiing may look difficult but it is in fact very
easy to learn and after a few ski lessons, you
can build up your confidence on nursery slopes,
also called green slopes or runs until
you feel ready to try the next stage blue
slopes. All ski resorts offer ski lessons for
beginners either individually or in group
classes and usually in your own language. We can
prebook ski lessons or you can arrange
direct at your resort on arrival. Prices vary
from resort to resort and number in the group,
but once you venture out on your own, you will
immediately see what everyone is raving about as
skiing and snowboarding on snow covered
mountains gives a fantastic sense of
exhiliration and freedom.
Slopes marked in red and black are the most
difficult but don´t worry as the slopes are
marked with the colour of their difficulty. See
our
Piste Maps for a detailed plan of the
slopes in each resort. Despite the international
colour coding of slopes, Ski Eagles recommend
the blue, red and black slopes in Italy
and Spain as the easiest, whilst ski resorts
in France offer an extensive choice of
ski instruction and practice slopes.
Similarly, snowboarding is becoming increasingly
popular with young people, very easy to pick up
after a few initial falls, and all the resorts
we have selected have snowboarding parks
or recommended slopes for snowboarders.
Lessons are not compulsory so if you feel
confident enough, or are going with more
experienced skiers willing to give you a hand,
push off on the nursery slopes yourself. All the
equipment you need is available to hire direct
in your resort including hiring ski boots.
For very young beginners, see our selection for
Families.
Here we have packaged a few deals in ski
resorts for beginners but also including
mixed ability. All our packages include
accommodation and lift pass but lessons can be
added to your package if you wish.
